COMMUNITY LIFE

Beloit is a healthy slice of the pioneer work ethic and spirit mixed with modern day technology. It is a rural community loaded with hard working, friendly, involved individuals using both modern farm equipment and computers in their daily lives. Mid-Western traditions such as the county fair, 4-H, rodeos, city parades, potlucks, harvest, auctions, are taking place in the same community as the orchestras, drama events, debate teams, choirs and other cultural and sporting events.

Beloit is a friendly, clean city that is progressive and caring with 4,066 of the friendliest people you will meet anywhere. The low cost, safe, neighborly, relaxed style of living promotes an excellent quality of life which makes Beloit a great place to live. Our children are provided with an excellent education, a clean healthful environment and a caring community.

The citizens and the government of Beloit believe you receive what you work and pay for and as a result the city is beautifully taken care of and is financially sound. Beloit has been repeatedly designated as a "Tree City U.S.A." since 1975 by the National Arbor Day Foundation. The City of Beloit will fulfill all bond obligations and be debt free in 1995 and will begin a $2 million sewer plant renovation.
